JOB DESCRIPTION

Your new challenge with ITI!

Our client in the public function industry is currently seeking a Senior IT Project Management Consulant for a Twelve (12) months mandate.

 

Employment specifications :

  • Ottawa or Toronto
  • Full time
  • Hybrid (Mostly remote but may require office presence in either Toronto or Ottawa)

 

Your Schedule could look like :  

  • Lead or assist in the definition or adjustment of project scopes, goals and deliverables.
  • Develop a delivery plan for the project reflecting the scope of work, resources and delivery methodologies.
  • Identify and define key deliverables and milestones for the project along with detailed tasks and sequence of work.
  • Obtain approval on the delivery plan before proceeding with the project.
  • Manage the project teams comprise of various roles and skills sets responsible for the delivery of the projects.
  • Effectively build, leverage, and support the project team under management through the project lifecyle.
  • Manage the project during the inception, development, implementation and operations startup by following well-defined methodologies and best practices to ensure that resources are utilized effectively and that the project is developed and is fully operational within time, cost and performance parameters.
  • Formulate statement of problems, establish the procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new or modified project elements to solve theses problems and obtain approval thereof.
  • Define and document the objectives for the project. Determine budget and resource requirements, the team composition, roles and responsibilities for all team members and project norms for the project team.
  • Report progress and total cost of the project on an ongoing basis including any changes in schedule, scope, budget, resources, risks or issues throughout the project life cycle.
  • Apply appropriate project controls in alignment with CER project methodologies.
  • Identify and engage with project stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment on objectives and to maintain common understanding throughout the life of the project.
  • Ensure that any material changes in project scope, schedule or budget are clearly defined and approved before being incorporated into the project delivery plan.
  • Plan sprints, testing and releases, groom available work items, contribute to story elaboration, assign and advance tasks through and Agile process implemented.
  • Track progress and sprint burndown schedule using Azure DevOps Services.
  • Plan for communication, rollout, disaster recovery, failover and scaling of IT infrastructure.
  • Implement and rollout Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software to the enterprise, this may include planning start-to-end, status reporting, coordinate resource for user requirements, communication, change management, training, data migration activities.
  • Work on Enterprise data projects.
  • Engage with the stakeholders, business and data owners/stewards, facilitate collaboration amongst cross-functional teams, conduct regular stand-ups, spring planning, demos, and retrospectives in accordance with the Agile development process, ensure compliance with enterprise data architecture  and adherence to data governance best practices.

 

Must-have :

  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Reliability security status.
